Breeky tablet contains misoprostol and is used to medically terminate early pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, and bleeding from ulcers. Misoprostol is a prostaglandin that allows the uterus to contract and expel the fetal tissue once it is detached from the endometrial lining. These contractions also help to reduce bleeding.
Misoprostol is the recommended medication for bleeding ulcers as it prevents NSAID induced ulcers by reducing acid secretion. However, it should never be taken without a prescription.
